One of the most popular Android applications of all time, after any of the Google apps from the Play Store is for no doubt the social networking giant's Facebook application itself. And as of late yesterday, Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook has managed to get their Android operating system based application download in well over one Billion smartphones and tablets from the Play Store. Any non-Google application to reach this high numbers and the 1 Billion download milestone is Facebook, which puts them to the second position in the race against the first place holder, which is of course Google with their own applications including Google Play Services, Gmail, Maps, and YouTube, which has already surpassed the Billion numbers, earlier this year. And for the exhilaration of the Facebook fans, we also have the Facebook Messenger app following the run with 500 Million downloads already in hands. So, which app will follow Facebook for the mammoth 1 Billion downloads level next, you let us know in the comments below.
