Protect yourself from Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The best way to prevent the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic illness is by avoiding your exposure to the virus. Clean your hands often, use soap and water for at least 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol to clean your hands more frequently.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands or after being in the public.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Maintain a safe distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community.
Stay home if you’re sick and take help from local health authorities and medical professionals.
Make sure to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow when you cough or sneeze. Properly dispose the used tissues in the trash, and immediately clean your hands with soap and water or a hand sanitizer.
Wear a face mask if you are sick or if you are around other people (e.g., sharing a room or vehicle) and before you enter a healthcare provider’s office. Do not wear a face mask unless you are caring for someone who is sick.

ASUS ROG Phone II Ultimate Edition is now available in the United States


A week back we saw ASUS going official with their all new STRIX Edition (8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal storage) and Ultimate Edition (12 gigabytes of LPDDR4X memory and one terabyte of ROM) for the European market, making it to the United Kingdom first. Following this, a week later we have the Taiwanese based multinational electronics company deciding to bring their eccentric smartphone for all the hardcore gamers in the Stateside as well, now offering the ROG Phone II's Ultimate Edition smartphone through Amazon alongside the vanilla model priced at $899.00. ASUS ROG Phone II Ultimate Edition GSM US version will set you back for a tag of $1099.00 unlocked.

 It is also worth mentioning that the device won't support the VoLTE and CDMA networks from Verizon or Sprint, and will not be capable of traiting Band 71 frequency that is required for T-Mobile's high speed network. But you can still bundle the handset with T-Mobile's regular speeds and with AT&T in the United States.

ASUS ROG Phone II lineup refreshed with STRIX Edition and Ultimate Edition in UK


The most hottest gaming smartphone from the Taiwan based multinational computer and phone hardware company, ASUS just got two more variants, that will retail in the United Kingdom as well as countries across the European region from the manufacturer's official online store. The all new ASUS ROG Phone II powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855+ Octa-Core chipset running at 2.96GHz, and world's first 10-bit HDR AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz/1ms, will now come in brand new STRIX Edition and Ultimate Edition, that will join the existing vanilla model that features 12GB of RAM and 512GB of ROM at $1091.77, which looks to be out of stock at the moment.

 So, what difference does these new versions bring to the table? ASUS's IFA event scheduled on September 3



ASUS sends out invitations, calling the Press and the mass media team to their 2014's 'In Search of Incredible' International Franchise Association's Press event, that is scheduled in Berlin on Wednesday, 3rd of September, the same day Samsung will be hosting their own IFA themed, 'Unpacked 2014 Episode 2' event, in regard of announcing the next generation Galaxy Note smartphone.

 As far as rumors are concerned, the Taiwanese company's Chief Executive Officer, Jerry Shen told an Investors Conference, that past Tuesday that, his company is in plans to debut a new smartwatch, that will be running Google's wearable platform Android Wear, in the early September, at their IFA Conference in Berlin, Germany. He also said the ASUSTeK's yet to go official smartwatch has already been well received by Google Inc., as the electronics manufacturer is one among the selected hardware partners for the Android Wear initiative, announced back in March. "We're dreaming big about the future of wearable devices, but the dream will not come true this year or in the first half of next year because the market demand has not picked up," Jerry Shen said at the Investors Conference. ASUS seeds Fonepad Note 6 and PadFone Infinity with 4.4 KitKat update



ASUS is the next manufacturer updating their smartphones and tablets to the new Android mobile operating system build, 4.4 KitKat. The company on Facebook today shared that, they'll be seeding 4.4 KitKat update to the new Fonepad Note 6 and PadFone Infinity. The update can be installed both manually by downloading them from here for Fonepad Note 6 from here for PadFone Infinity, and if you don't want to wait until you see the notification for the over-the-air update.

 The new firmware upgrade will bring a number of changes to both the ASUS made devices, where the refurbish will also introduce the new Zen User Interface to the units. In term of the ASUS Fonepad Note 6, 4.4 KitKat will improve and enhance modem stability and remove App Locker to combine into the launcher. And for the ASUS PadFone Infinity, the new software refresh will remove a number of pre-installed application and rename couple of them. The app changelogs are as follows.

Google brings up Android 4.4.4 KitKat factory images and binaries for Nexus devices, OTA updates rolling here and there



Google has posted binary images and hardware support files of Android's version 4.4.4 KitKat in their Google Developers domains, for the use of restoring your Nexus model's original factory firmware and for users of the Android Open-Source Project, respectively. The new update is here with the build number, reading as KTU84P. The lately release fresh images and drivers are available for Google Nexus devices including, LG Google Nexus 5 or "hammerhead" (GSM/LTE), ASUS Nexus 7 2013 or "razor" (WiFi), ASUS Nexus 7 2013 or "razorg" (Mobile), Samsung Galaxy Nexus 10 or "mantaray", LG Google Nexus 4 or "occam", ASUS Nexus 7 or "nakasi" (WiFi) and ASUS Nexus 7 or "nakasig" (Mobile).

 So, whats new in this build of Android KitKat? As reported by Android Police, this brand new update will deal with security fixes, which is related to CVE-2014-0224, that is an OpenSSL bug, basically allowing a man-in-the-middle attack. This is something much alike the Heartbleed bug, which is already fixed in the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update, earlier. We also hear some of the members from the XDA-Developers forum reporting on receiving a 2.5 megabytes light OTA update of the build on their Nexus 5 smartphones.
