Couple of new tweets from Max Weinbach yesterday gave us some more details on the forthcoming Galaxy Z Flip, the South Korea's next possible treatment for customers looking forward to a more affordable clamshell foldable Android smartphone with flexible display. Earlier we were told that the phone will come featuring the world's first ultra-thin glass layer covering the flexible display, replacing the existing transparent polyimide layer. But according to Max, Samsung have different plans in mind for their next release, as it will trait an ultra thin glass material along with the plastic layer as well, meaning the phone's display panel will have a plastic layer covering the ultra thin glass for added protection. In a second tweet he also reported that Samsung's Galaxy Flip Z purportedly embraces a 3300mAh powered battery under the hood with the alleged 15W fast charging capabilities.
Samsung was very smart with the Galaxy Z Flip (just got word this is the name.)— Max Weinbach (@MaxWinebach) January 14, 2020
They are using ultra thin glass and plastic. Samsung will be layering a plastic over the ultra thin glass for extra protection. If it gets scratched, it's only the plastic and not the display.
