Sony has started rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update to their middle ranged smartphones, Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual. The new firmware build will bring all kinds of new Android KitKat goodies including performance and UI revamps to the handsets and also Sony has specially brought in the option to move your applications to the SD card, if the four gigabytes of storage on board is not enough for your entertainment. There's also the new tweaked Status Bar and Quick Settings menu, Sony PlayStation 4 inspired boot animation and live wallpapers across home and lock screens, even bringing tweaked and improved features to Messaging, Smart Connect, TrackID, Sony Select, and Battery STAMINA Mode, refurbish to Sony’s Media apps, WALKMAN, Album and Movies. Lastly, you'll also receive the refreshed Xperia Themes, that packs downloadable User Interface packs, customized skins up to 280 assets across your Xperia smartphone with a variety of styles and more. According to Sony, timing and availability for the new 4.4 KitKat build update may vary by the region and carrier. The company also hints it’s Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 Dual up next to get the 4.4 Android KitKat treatment.
