Samsung's new smartphone to receive Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is their middle-ranged affordable Galaxy Grand 2, where we already have the South Korean manufacturer rolling out an over-the-air update to most of the users with the handset in India, weighing 361 megabytes heavy. The new version's build number for Galaxy Grand 2 will be read as G7102XXUBNG4 and the brand new changelog comes with improvements for the smartphone and it's User Interface, along with other necessary performance enhancements, which also includes the main KitKat features like the refurbished lockscreen, status bar visual upgrades, wireless printing support and much more.

Gionee Elife S5.5 is getting updated to 4.4.2 KitKat
Remember the world's thinnest smartphone, Gionee Elife S5.5, that was announced back in February? The smartphone is now receiving Android 4.4.2 KitKat polish through a 865 megabytes heavy over-the-air update, for the Jelly Bean 4.2 running devices.
The new firmware upgrade for the smartphone will include:
- Android upgrade to KitKat
- New Desktop layout
- Removed the world cricket championship
- Added Du speed booster for faster operations
- Updated Amigo Paper with a brand new UI interface design
- Updated Game Zone with a new UI interface design
- Updated GioneeXender for optimized performance and further improved the linking success rate
Also according to GSMArena, the new reform brings number of new minor user interface improvements, changes and smoothness, where we get the new flatter look, subtler animations, redesigned notification drawer and even couple of pre-installed applications, that embrace BlackBerry Messenger.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Black Edition is ready for Android 4.4.2 KitKat update
Samsung is now ready to update their Galaxy S4 Mini Black Edition handsets, that was announced, back in January to Android's version 4.4.2 KitKat. Even though, this special edition smartphones are currently available only in select markets, not globally, but nothing is stopping Samsung from updating their devices to KitKat. According to the reads, the Belgian network provider Proximus has already started rolling out the update to their customers with GS4 Mini Black Edition. Unfortunately, we are not sure whether this is an OTA update or something related to Samsung Kies, over computer.

AT&T and Samsung will roll out Android 4.4.2 update to Galaxy S4 Active
AT&T and Samsung is back with the Android version 4.4.2 KitKat roll out for the company's rugged Galaxy S4 Active (i537) handset for the United States customers. The new software package refreshment will include, Android 4.4 operating system upgrade, copy and paste improvements, easier insertion of pictures and videos to emails and messages, camera application accessibility from lock screen and call reliability improvements.
According to AT&T, their customers with Galaxy S4 Active, will receive an alert and will be prompted to download the official update over-the-air (OTA). The updated Baseband version will be dubbed as, I537UCUCNN3 with the Build number being KOT49H.I537UCUCNE3.
